Sounds like zu to me with a really short T at the beginning.
shoes..
the pronounciation for shoes KUTSU is weird .. the voice says it like "kuh-tsu"...not "ku-tsu"...or am i hearing things?

I keep hearing zoo, I have trouble saying this one, it's kind of like a short hissing T before saying the name Sue - I think it's time for bed now :)

Try placing your tongue
Try placing your tongue behind your teeth as if you were making a "T" sound and then say "Sue."
