Ohayogozaimasu!
I just wanted to tell about this really interesting book I picked up recently. It's called either "Inside the Japanese Mind" or "The Japanese Mind" I'll find it later and tell for sure which it is...anyway, it's really quite interesting and gives a lot of cultural information about the Japanese people. What I have read so far has really helped me to understand some of the behaviors of Japanese people. Or at least understand the culture a little better. Anyway if you get the chance you should definitely read it. So I just wanted to put that out there...

Oh man I am so excited! My family is going to host a foreign exchange student this summer from Japan! It's going to be so fun! We don't know for sure when they are coming or what their name is or really anything other than that but we will find out as soon as our background check is cleared. I'm so excited!

I don't really know what to put on my blog...it just seems interesting to me that people I don't even know MIGHT be interested in what I write about... after all I don't really know anybody personally. But I suppose maybe it's because we all share a common goal? Who knows... but anyway I still like the blog entry section because it's kind of releasing to get your thoughts out there... not that I have written anything extremely deep or interesting, and probably won't in the future. (That's why I don't have a myspace... (>_<;)) But who cares?

So the welcome party went really well. It turns out that all the students who were visiting were girls which for some reason was surprising to me... don't ask me why... Anyway, one of the boys in my class was performing magic tricks for us and we all thought it was pretty amazing. The girls from Yamamura though were particularly impressed by his ablility to suffle a deck of cards. It was pretty funny. We got to go ice skating with them and that was pretty fun too.

Ok so basically I really like this new blog section. Well actually I like the entire new site. It's beautiful! Anyway, I'm really excited today because my Japanese class is having a welcome party for the students of Yamamura Daigaku. Omoshiroi desu ne! I'll have to write about how it went later but I have to go in about a half hour so yeah. It's going to be great!!
