Re: What's your favorite manga?

For me, it's hard to stick to a manga, because sometimes as the story gets longer I tend to lose interest. BUT one manga that has managed to keep me interested even after all this time is Claymore. I first watched the anime, liked it, and then found the manga, read it from the very beginning and I w...

Re: first anime you have watched

The VERY first anime that I ever watched, I had to be like 6 years old or something, and I remember I really liked Sailor Moon, and watching the DVD movies at my cousin's place. :)

Re: Tiny question about Japanese quotation marks

I think, if you're thinking about quotation marks when writing IN Japanese, I often see this mark, 「 」

umm, for example...
お母さんに 「早く帰ってきて!」 と言われました。 My mom told me, "Come home quickly".

When you read books and let's say, there's a conversation going on, you can see this mark used also. :)

Re: Free online furigana literature?

Also, aside from using free dictionaries. I know of one website that offers short little articles and you have the option to view them in furigana. It's a blog created by hiragana times. :)

Re: Help with essay

I really liked the story, I thought it was interesting and unique. :) The sentences are well-written, nothing sounds unnatural. When I'm writing essays for Japanese class the teachers all seem to emphasize the theme of the story. And they like to emphasize what is your message for the reader, or wha...

Hi, I found this dictionary site that might be useful. In Japanese there is a lot of expressions that use the body parts, so having this dictionary you can just search words or type in whole expressions you'd like to learn more about. http://kotobank.jp/ for your question on the meaning of 「手が込んでいる」...

Re: Help with essay

Hi, I tried to make adjustments to some of the sentences.

Re: ii desu ka

hmmm... 「から」 in 「映画を見に行く から 」 means "because". Because you had to watch a movie. It is a more casual way of saying 「ので」、or 「映画を見に行く ので 」 which has the same meaning After 「から」 or 「ので」 comes the reason for why you could/cannot do certain things. Example: 暇だ から カラオケに行けます。= Because I'm free (hav...

Re: Want to travel

Everyone already had some good suggestions, just like to add some more. 運行 means something more of a service that you can take, like bus, or train. If you want to say you want to travel everywhere, it's hard to find an exact translation for "everywhere" You might have to change the word around, so i...
