Imperative

Wikipedia has a verb table similar to wagawiki's, but there are a few extra imperative terminations.

With eru/iru verbs, besides ろ, there is a よ termination. Also, for する, besides しろ there is せい and せよ.
Are these just archaic forms? Are they used at all?

When? I also use SCIM in Fedoras 4 and 5 and I still haven't had any problems.

RE: New menu icons

As for the Forums icon (smiley), i don't think it quite fits.
As for the icons in general. Its a bit redundant, in my opinion, but if they stay there other links should be present: faq and search

RE: a question about Kanji use...

Yes, it is correct, just not desirable. Also, there are words for which there is a kanji, but it shouldn't be used.

Also, it is not
私 わ 彼の猫 が 好きです
but
私 は 彼の猫 が 好きです

は is the topic marker

That is so much like Terry Pratchett (Discworld series). I like it, but the problem is that past 1 or 2 books it gets very predictable.

Grand Theft Auto 3, but my favorite PS-PS2 games are Final Fantasy VII, Metal Gear Solid (guess where my nick comes from) and SoulReaver (all 3 are PS (1)).
While I'm at it, my favorite PC game is NetHack, and my favorite 2-player game is Liero

RE: Japanese Dictionary - cheap one?

I use the Kodansha Furigana dictionary (the one indicated by Infidel) and I think it is very good to a starter. Somewhere around upper beginer, intermidiate, it may prove to have insuficient entries. I also got it from amazon.
In my case, though, it is very well complemented by JWPce
