thanks nilecat i didn't know form the tae kims guide that yagare was an imperative form, and i didn't know about that meaning of sumu, i looked at the links you gave me but i didn't see the explanations of the words as you write them, what dictionary do u recommend that is not full japanese?

HI! I'm studying the tae kim's guide and i have "invented" this sentence :ninja: i want to know how to ask a Japanese person about a word for that i don't understand.

i wanted to use something polite:

これは英語 で何という意味 ですか

is this right ?? are there simpler forms so say it?

犯人をどこかで見ましたか/hannin o dokoka de mimashita ka

HI, could please any one explain me, in depth, the use the the particles wo and de, i'm reading the tae kim's guide but i just not enought explanation because the を marks the object of the verb, ok, but why is there a で even when を is used???

Yeah tae kim's guide, :D ,the question is why don't we go to eat Italian? excellent i write it wrong the first time, but it that was what i was thinking :P , thx for the complete explanation guys, i will go on studying.

shouldn't be:

don't (we,I,he, etc) go to eat Italian food ?

映画をたくさん見た / eiga o takusan mita

this phrase bothers me because the translation is:

I saw a lot of movies.

but i understand something like:

i saw many times a movie.

WHY is that たくさん is before the verb 見た and not 映画 so i can tell for sure that the movies are then ones witch are a lot???

Hi, this is a really simple question but still is bothering me, when do i say ashita and when asu, they mean the same thing and i understand the kanji means both..i think... but i have heard sometimes the use of one or the other but i don't now why...
