The SAT Japanese is harder than JLPT4... you should be between, as another poster said, 2 and 3 to ace it. There is a multiple choice section and a listening section. The language subject tests ARE ONLY given in NOVEMBER. So since you are a junior already, take it next year since thats your only cha...

Hmm.. Japanese was my first language, then I moved here and forgot most of it.. so I am relearning as of early this year when I was 14. I am 15 now. Went back to Japan this summer and it helps.

I saw this somewhere else before.. Nippon was named in the late 1800s by a guy from some part of Japan because his local dialect calls it "Nippon". Officially it is nihon.

Nagano is a bit rural I think.. if you are gonna go to Nagano, might as well take the jump and go to Yamagata or something.

Tokyo, definitely. I love it. You can go to Yokohama or Chiba when you have free time.. haha.

I used to own lots of pocket PCs, like iPAQ, Dell Axim x50v, etc. I lost interest though. It does make a nice translator, but still not as good as a dedicated one.
