looks like your one a good start. I too have school but i found it truly difficult to balance school and learning japanese. This year i had to slowed down from my usual 2 hour study( sometimes i get into so much i don't know when to stop) becuase of the those AP courses aren't a joke. video games......

thanks everyone for your input. It seems Kanazawa is more popular than fukuoka. also i would like to note that langaugesabroad.com says "relatively undiscovered by Foreigners." hmmm i wonder what they mean by that?.... anyway. at first learning the kana was difficult...i could seemed to remeber most of them untill. i just made flash cards and practiced them...every time i mess up...i would write it out 10 times. i continued this until i new them by hard...it only took me 2 and half hours to remeber them... i know it sound...

i agree most of the kanji i know i tend to forget the on pronounciation and always remeber the meaning and the Kun.

Cool thanks you guys for your posts. well i think Nagoya is about the same size as chicago ( population wise). I never been to anything as remotly as large as Tokyo. Perhaps if i go to Tokyo U i will need time to adapt... the strangest things is when contacted the TOkyo U's Civil engineering office ...
