I'm not very far along in Japanese but I do try my hardest to think in Japanese. It doesn't always work because I'm also learning German and school, and I usually end up thinking in German.

When I learn a new kanji i write it down a few times by itself just to make sure that I have the pronunciation and such down, then after that, like wakannai, i write out the dialogue for it. It works really well.

I also use flash cards, but that's just me.

my favorite manga used to be Naruto, but since then things have changed. I really only read one manga these days.
