Translating a little song

Hiya all, it's been ages since I visited here, but I'm still working on my Japanese. (I am currently very busy with a totally illegal subbing and youtubing project, which will have me occupied for another year at least .... it's the drama series 0shin ... if anyone is interested in following it, PM ...

Re: Celebration Song

Thanks very much for that!
I think I'm going to leave the song untranslated .... it's too tricky ^_^

Actually, the Tanokura are from Saga ... and that is Kyuushuu, right?
I guess it won't rule out the song originating from Mie Ken ...

Re: Celebration Song

NileCat-san
thank you very much for the answer
Well, it's not an overly familiar song, then.
I was given this trial translation:

ああ、好いたお方を じんじゃ抱き上げてよ 私ぁ挫けぬ・・・

ああ、すいたおかたを じんじゃだきあげてよ
わたしゃくじゃけぬ

→ Ah, lifting Sweetheart into my arms
I won't lose courage...

Does that sound about right?

Celebration Song

Does anyone know anything about the song in this video?
it starts at 8:35, the time is marked in the info box, and if you click there, it will hit where the song starts.
Thanks!

traditional face

This face reminds me of a (famous?) Japanese picture and I'm trying to find it online.
So far, unsuccessfully ...
Does anyone here know which painting I'm referring to?

Re: 70代ぐらい

hmmm. I guess I was hoping for the other option, as I find 2 70-y-o men tied together by the ankles quite sad.....or do I misunderstand the article...???
