Re: Tapatalk

The site is listed now, but I am unable to login. I keep getting prompted for a capcha code and those don't display on Tapatalk.

Re: I don't want to be 'that' person...

Same things you'd do at home....don't pick your nose or break wind in mixed company. Other than the obvious, "monkey see, monkey do" will serve you very well. If you don't know, just ask. Most people here are very gratified to be able to explain some fine point of Japanese customs to a foreigner. In...

Re: Tapatalk

Looking over the dates of posts pulled up by checking the "Unread Posts" feature, it looks as though this forum had pretty much died already. Let's hope getting with the mobile era can do something to revive it.

Re: I don't want to be 'that' person...

You're far more likely to ruin it by pointlessly obsessing over this stuff. It is a safe bet that most of the Kyoto temples you want to see are primarily tourist spots, complete with tour bus parking. Think about what a tourist spot is....it is a place people who have no business or connection with ...

Push would be nice but it isn't entirely necessary. I was just thinking that the ability to more easily access and participate in the forum via phones might help to boost usage of the forum. The world increasingly expects to have net content at its fingertips, and the forum as currently configured i...

Re: "あなたのアドバイスのおかげで" grammar help?

I was talking about な、て instead of なって and ニュウ instead of ニュー, but スキリshould be スキル.

Definitely, keep up the good work. But always keep an eye out for typos. They're very easy to make and even even easier to overlook.

Is there any possibility that this forum will ever be compatible with Tapatalk? It would make it oodles easier to use from phones.

Re: Name Pronunciation

Why would you give your daughter a first name that is a Japanese family name? That would be like a Japanese mom naming her daughter Jones, Brown, Johnson, Sullivan, Smith, or the like.

Let me guess....you pronounce her name with the accent on the "i".

Re: Suicide in Japan

I don't really understand why he wouldn't be at Aokigahara instead. Perhaps because there is a large problem right there in the town where he already lives? It isn't as though he retired and went in search of a place with a suicide problem. The suicide problem was already right there where he was, ...

Re: Suicide in Japan

Oh, absolutely 100% that is what I was saying. This is a very worthwhile premise for a project and I would have been glad to do what I could to help out on the front-end of it. I would be glad to do whatever I can on any future worthwhile projects in Japan. My biggest suggestion at this point would ...
