なるほど。 Look at the second item here for more info. One thing of note: きのは refers to leaves on the tree, while このは is correct for leaves that have fallen. Of course, I also heard awhile back it could help you lose weight.

Not that I'm a doubter. If all I were allowed to eat was natto, I'd lose a pound a day.

I've tried natto 6 times, with rice, and I still can't stand the stuff. 4 times left before I can give up with a clear conscience...
