Re: Help about JLPT applying process

Well, actually you probably could have emailed to any of the institutions on the list? I emailed several in Europe and they all sent me an application form.... You will have to be quick, though, maybe there are some that haven't closed yet. (otherwise, it might be a nice excuse for another trip to ...

Re: Help about JLPT applying process

You have to apply to the institution where the test is being given. Here's a list. It may be past the application deadline for some of them. Yes ; I know about the institution in my country. I had gone there and applied the JLPT3 in 2007. The time that applications are made is just one week ; and I...

Help about JLPT applying process

Hi , I was in Japan since late Spring ; and had to apply for JLPT while I was there. As you may know ; the JLPT application form which is being sold in Japan only has Japanese locations to choose from ; where you take the exam. The situation was either giving up applying to this years' test or using...

RE: Japanese/Japanese Dictionary ?

Thanks for the site. I was using http://www.sanseido.net/ as online dictionary but since I don't have an internet connection at home I'm looking for an offline one ; which I believed there should be more than one ; but now I am very surprised and disappointed by not coming across any... :(

Japanese/Japanese Dictionary ?

I've been using Wakan and Rikaichan for quite a long time on my computer and I feel it's time to switch to an J-J dictionary. But the problem is I couldn't find any good J-J dictionary ; nor a suitable file to replace the J-E in Rikaichan. I already have a paper 国語辞典 in my hands but would also like ...

RE: 八百屋

It somehow always reminds me of 百科辞典

Haven't heard

八百八橋 = the large number of bridges in Osaka
八百八寺 = the large number of temples in Tokyo
八百八町 = all of Edo

before though ; really interesting :)

RE: Complete Best

I prefer 'Vocal Collection' albums since i like it better listening to full songs instead of background music or tv size versions :)

RE: subed or dubed

Subbed is definitely better for anyone who is studying Japanese and also it's the original one ; but these days I've been trying to watch raws as much as possible. Sure there are times I can't understand ; but (after some progress) it's more useful to just concentrate on the voices and try to unders...

Post Jouyou Kanji & Learning Non-Jouyou Kanji : methods , ti

I have been studying 常用 漢字by learning a fixed amount of new kanji everyday ; writing down multiple times and learning the words that the kanji is used in. And having short reviews of past few days everyday ; and longer reviews in weekends. It somehow seemed to go well and now ; even there are times ...
