Sorry I've been away, Been very sick the last couple of weeks.
Coco, forgive my lack of knowledge - I put the sentence 器用な日本兵は、パラシュートに富士山の絵を描いて、アメリカ兵の煙草と交換した。 in the wwwjdic translator. Not sure what I am suppose to see.

Well, I finally have the last two drawings. Here is the link to the 3rd picture. Very little writing on it. Will have the 4th picture probably tomorrow I have to use my daughters digital camera.

Dad said that many had drawing kits that they kept for themselves and believes they were drawn with colored pencils.

I am on my way to see my Dad, I will ask about how these have been drawn. Dad just turned 78 and is not in good health, when I talk about the drawings and his time in Guam he ends up crying.

I'll let you know what I come up with.

Sorry, I've been away from computer for a bit. Thanks for the extended information here. Hopefully I will get better views of the text of the second drawing soon. I have been having trouble with the camera.

Thanks for the wav file. I've put up a couple more of the pictures. The fence post and it looks like maybe a signature. Also include the 2nd picture that in not in a frame yet. This picture was drawn around 1944 by a prisoner of war in Guam. My father who was a guard there traded cigarettes for the pictures. He had 4 of them in his bedroom closet for 60 years and nobody knew about them. I have 2 of the 4 drawings. This one the first one I have had framed. The complete pict...
