Oral examination help.

Thought it would be better to start a fresh topic. basically I have an oral examination tomorrow in japanese where I am going to be asked to talk about myself for 2 to 3 minutes, which is the hardest part. I've been practising my arse off for a few days at the language. It would be brilliant if I co...

RE: Daily diary log in Japanese, practise.

Heh, I thought my English was fine (good enough to pass a GCSE), its probably just the differences with irish-english and american-english, what sounds fine to me will sound a bit odd to an american and visa versa, unless I'm typing very formal English. Either way thanks, didnt have time to finish o...

RE: Daily diary log in Japanese, practise.

I have my written examination tomorrow so for practise it was advised to write about a holiday in Dublin, Ireland and what i done, in some decent detail using correct grammar. so I'm going to give it a go here and hopefully I can get some feedback from the people here on what I've done wrong, I'll d...

RE: Daily diary log in Japanese, practise.

Heh, I didn't notice the は. that explains a lot actually. And thanks for the correction on my sentence, I take it にすん means residence? Writing that particular correction down on my notes now. Have heard different stories from different people in regards to using 英国 or イギリス though I did take for gran...

RE: Daily diary log in Japanese, practise.

Cheers for correcting the spelling mistakes. Haven't learnt たらきました, I take it that it means something similar to かえりました? As in to return to something? Not sure what いって means either if you could help me out with that. Also, I'm currently trying to prepare for my oral exam in 2 weeks where I have to ...

RE: Daily diary log in Japanese, practise.

Lots of replies, lots of corrections, cheers. I'm beginning to think I overuse the は particle instead of using the proper ones, so I may do a bit of reading over my notes. This will be read as "Today's breakfast ate an orange". Think about the difference between your basic A is B and A does B forms ...

You keep a dairy? I don't see any mention of milk or cows. Did you mean, perchance, a diary?
Well, I can quite fond of cheese. Topic spelling mistake changed.

Daily diary log in Japanese, practise.

I have a written exam in about a week and a half for my Japanese class, and the tutor suggested that I keep a dairy on what I've done every day untill the exam, in japanese ofcourse. Small points, 5 or 6 lines a day to help me with my vocabulary. My vocabulary isnt very good and I'm still learning a...

RE: The British sure know their America...

The ireland one made me laugh a bit at how silly it is.

Don't think I've ever been expected or forced to sing and dance in my life. That kind of thing only happens in countryside villages of 50 people. I dont think many Japanese are going to find themselves stranged out there for a while.
