Here's another tip: Verb + の + は/が/を in Japanese functions the same way that gerunds and infinitives do in English.

In this case, the infinitive "to go" works best in the context of the sentence.

Does that make sense?

Weird... if that's what it originally meant, it's been corrupted by foreigners learning Japanese. I used to hear that all the time referring to a student who had an uncannily large Japanese vocabulary.

In theory, it's more economical to live with someone else.

In practice, that works well enough, as long as we're talking about roommates.

In marriage, things tend to be different. I've never heard of a couple who spent less than twice what they did while single.
