Signature Character Limit

My signature apparently violates the character limit. And yet there it is!
If I try to change it through the PHPBB user control panel, it gives me the appropriate error message (which happens to be how I found out it was too long). However, if I change my signature in my user details on the main site (Drupal?), I get the whole thing.
I don't think this is a -major- issue, but figured I'd bring it up none the less.
