Can't get a ソ into my location

In the "Edit Profile" form, I can't seem to change my location to 米国ミネャ^州. When I try, I get 米国ミネ・#92;タ州. What happend to the ?

yes, there's a problem with on the Profile page. we used to have the same problem in the Forum and Shoutbox as well. i managed to fix the problem in most of the site, but on the Profile page things were a bit more difficult and basically i just never got around to finding a way to get it working there. gomen nasai.

PHP-Fusion (the forum software) treats the Profile page differently than the rest of the site, you also can't use kanji/kana in your Username, and the Location and Signature do extra funky things differently than the rest of the site.

That's a relief; I was afraid I'd been typing in the wrong encoding or something all this time and just never noticed!

I will use hiragana as a workaround.
