Shoutbox Archive

There are 348 pages of ShoutBox Archive (or so it tells me). Given the typical content I'm dubious that anybody will want to look at stuff older than two days.

Would it be sensible / possible to have shoutbox content 'expire' after 48 hours or such?

Not that my opinion matters much, but I really wouldn't care if the shoutbox content expired after 48 hours. I don't know if it's easy to do, but it might free up space on this site, so if it's not too hard, go for it!

I agree with Paul. I suppose the 348 pages archive for the Shoutbox are too much. 48 hours are good enough as a Shoutbox content expire.

I have searched the date when TJP have had 10000 members for waga wiki. ( I wrote it on the Shoutbox, but it seems before December 24 05. ) I still have something to search on the shout box. It would be nice if someone inform us before he/she delete the Shoutbox archive, so that I will be able to have copies.

shoutbox の期限は2日で充分。348pは多すぎると常々私も思っていました。ただ、今はちっと探し物があるので、事前に教えてくれると非常に助かります。

10,000 members should be somewhere around Feb 20-21, 2006.

the User ID numbers are roughly the same as Number of Users. Example:

Registered Members: 15004
Newest Member: tunghien (tunghein User Number = 15035)

somewhere along the line 31 accounts have been deleted for some reason or another.

User Number 10,000 was on Feb 20, User Number 10,031 was on Feb 21.
so, depending on when the 31 accounts went away the 10,000 mark was somewhere between these two users.

ということで、現在探しているものはzenさんに訊くのが早そうだから
私はいつアーカイブを潰しても問題なくなりました。ポールさん。
時間区切って反論がなきゃ、消しちゃえ、というのが私の意見。:)
