I think the search function in the discussion forum should have the options to search in just thread titles OR in posts.
As it is now (search in posts) some searches are not efficient. Some keywords, like 'kanji', although appearing in a relatively small number of thread titles, appear in hundreds of posts and it is impractical to view all of them. This may even disencourage the use of the search function.

I'm half expecting a reply of "ARGH! Fusion sucks!"

Incidentally half the time when I'm looking for something here I do a google search with thejapanesepage added as a search term.

There are lots of sites where the search button is combined with google. So there is a checkbox, google (this site) or (the web). Maybe we should get that if the fusion based one sucks so much.

I've actually been using google a bit myself. Albeit not so much as Paul.

the google search is something different, since it searches not only forums but also other site pages.
Nevertheless, I tried googling "thejapanesepage forum search", and it didn't even find this thread.
What I meant is a search function to specifically find forum threads whose titles contain the search keyword.

If you don't want to wait for google, you can just do it yourself.

the Search page now has a Subject option. when Subject is selected, only the title/subject of the posts will be searched. the Forum Posts selection still searches both the title/subject and the body of the posts.
