Kanji email
I signed up for the kanji a day email and everything was going great until yesterday when I didn't get an email. I decided to wait until today to see if it happened again and it did. It didn't get into my spam filter and I signed up with a gmail account. The last one I got was for 8 (hachi).
Thanks.
Thanks.

RE: Kanji email
Hmmm... I just got an email saying something similar. Anyone getting them?
I just tried to send a test message, but there is an error. I'll email the server guy in charge...

Ok. It is fixed. A database table had crashed and had to be restarted.
Sorry for the trouble, but it should work from tonight on.

RE: Kanji email
It seems to have gone all quiet again on the Kanji email front?
I haven't received a new kanji for a couple of days now.

I, too, haven't been getting the Kanji-a-day E-mails. I was wondering what has been happening. I haven't been getting them for awhile now. I thought they were being sent to my Spam box or maybe I accidentally marked the e-mails as spam. That turned out to not be the case and I signed up for the Level 4 not too long ago and only got the e-mails for a few days and they stopped.

Re: Kanji email
A friendly little bump. Is anyone working on this still? I have signed up for all three on the proper page, one said I had already signed up and the other two never have sent me a confirmation email. I can't remember which two I received, but they were months ago. If needed I can look through my mail and find a date that it was sent.

Re: Kanji email
Fixed it for you. Two of them were labeled 'unconfirmed' which means it didn't get the confirmation click. I bet those two got sent to your spam folder.
The other one was labeled 'bounced' which means it had sent one or more emails, but got two or more bounces back from your email server. This could be your box was full, a vacation notice, or maybe just my mail server messing up.
Sorry for the trouble! Let me know if you don't get an email by tomorrow.
The email kanji lists are a mess. Most of the links point to kanji pages on the previous, previous website. After the upgrade, I will work on fixing the email lists--sorry!

Re: Kanji email
I did receive two emails of the JLPT 3 kanji yesterday, but I did not receive anything for the other two.
If things are getting bounced it is happening at the comcast server before it gets to my computer, as I always look through my junk and spam folder to be certain I am not missing anything. I check email many times a day and haven't had a vacation in years, so I know it isn't either of those.
I will let you know if anything else shows up soon, but as of today nothing has come.
Thanks.

Re: Kanji email
Update:
I did receive one email today, JLPT 3 #105, aka. I have not received any JLPT 4 kanji, nor have I received any of the coupons.
On a side note, I remember someone saying a section needed to be built regarding the difference between onyomi and kunyomi (<--- spelling? In the email it says On readings and Kun readings). Has that been done? After I finish this email I am going to wikipedia, google, etc., and see if I can make sense of it. My Japanese-English dictionary made mention of it but it didn't make any sense to me.
Throw me a bone, I will take what I can get, 一歩一歩
