Watashi no namae wa Steve desu (or simply Steve desu would be more natural.)

2. Anata no o-shigoto wan nan desu ka

A. Fujitsu no Maneja desu (I am a Manager for Fujitsu)

3. Gokazoku wa nannin desu ka

A. Hachinin desu (Eight people)

4. Gokazoku wa dare desu ka

A. Watashi to chichi to haha to ani hitori to ane yonin desu (me, my dad, my mum, an elder brother and four older sisters)

Watashi to chichi to haha to ani ga hitori to ane ga yonin desu. (Watashi to is unneeded.)

5. Anata wa maiasa nanji ni okimasu ka

A. watashi wa gozen rokuji han ni okimasu (I get up at 6:30am)

6. Asagohan ni nani o tabemasu ka

Asagohan wa nani o tabemasu ka[/quote]

A. Tousuto no ue ni mame o tabemasu (I eat beans on toast)

7. shinbun o yomimasu ka

A. iie, shinbun o yomimasen, hon o yomimasu (I don’t read a paper, I read a book)

A. Mainichi shichi-ji han ni uchi o demasu (I leave the house at 7 o’clock every day)

9. Anato no o-shigoto wa nanji kara nanji made desu ka

A. Watashi no shigoto wa gozen hachiji kara gogo rokuji goro kare desu (I work from 8am to around 6pm)

Gozen hachiji kara gogo rokuji goro made desu.

10. Nan de shigoto ni ikimasu ka

Careful with that one, nande can also (and is more likely) to mean "why"; "dou yatte" is unambiguous.

Sore kara kaisha made arukimasu (I ride a bike to the train station. From there I take a train to the station near my company. From there I walk.)

11. hiruyasumi wa nanji kara nanji made desu ka

A. hiruyasumi wa ichiji kara ichiji han made desu (Lunchbreak is from one o’clock to half past one)

12. hiruyasumi ni nanni o shimasu ka

Hiruyasumi wa nani o shimasu ka

A. taitei watashi wa hon o yomimasu. Tokidoki tomodachi to pabu ni ikimasu (usually I read a book, sometimes I go to the pub with a friend)

13. oshigoto kara nanji ni uchi ni kaerimasu

A. watashi wa gogo shichi ji goro ni uchi ni kaerimasu (I return home around 7pm)

Watashi wa gogo shichiji goro uchi ni kaerimasu (no "ni" after "goro")

14. yoru wa nani o shimasu ka

A. taiei watashi wa terebi o mimasu, Fainaru Fantaji o asobumasu. Kayoubi nihon-go no jugyou o shimasu (usually I watch telly and play final fantasy. On Tuesday I have Japanese lessons)

Taitei (typo)

15. bangohan wa dare ga tsukurimasu ka

A. getsuyoubi kara kinyoubi made haiguu-sha wa bangohan o tsukurimasu. Doyoubi to nichiyoubi watashi wa bangohan o tsukurimasu. (Monday to Friday my partner cooks the evening meal, Saturday and Sunday I cook the evening meal)

Many thanks

I don't mind giving this a shot. BTW, did someone give you these questions or did you devise them by yourself? Cos some look weird (e.g. using "anata" with the polite o-, which seems a bit superfluous and unnatural).

o-namae wa nan desu ka
(Watashi no namae wa) Steve desu
(Steve to iimasu, polite)
(Steve to moushimasu, humble)

o-shigoto wan nan desu ka
Fujitsu no Manejaa desu
Not entirely sure about this one. Perhaps フジツで would work as well?

Asagohan ni nani o tabemasu ka
A. Tousuto no ue ni mame o tabemasu (I eat beans on toast)
k... the way I interprete this answer is like saying that you eat beans while sitting on a slice of toasted bread... Perhaps a simple とwould suffice?
tosuto to mame wo tabemasu

shinbun o yomimasu ka
A. iie, shinbun o yomimasen, hon o yomimasu
I believe that this question asks if you habitually read the paper rather than whether you're reading one then and there. Why not reply with a frequency adverd, such as...

In Japanese you say 7.30, in English 7. Pick one.

o-shigoto wa nanji kara nanji made desu ka
[(Watashi no) shigoto wa] gozen hachiji kara gogo rokuji goro made desu (I work from 8am to around 6pm)

Dou yatte shigoto ni ikimasu ka? (I'm with Rich on this one)
A. ... Chikaku is treated as a noun ...会社まで歩いて行きます kaisha made aruite ikimasu (= I walk and go)

Hiruyasumi wa, nani wo shimasu ka?
Your answer's fine, but don't you eat at all during these 30 minutes? :-P

13. As Rich says, no に after ごろ

yoru wa nani o shimasu ka?
Perhaps you should stick with one activity. This question would normally be answered with the ~たり~たりする syntax which you have probably not learned. Also, I'm not sure if あそびます can be used in the sense of manually playing something, since it's more along the "have fun"-"enjoy myself" lines... (not entirely sure about the second one)

I hope this helps.

Thanks for your help Evan.

The questions were set by our Japanese Teacher so I guess she doesn't know her native tongue

As for lunchtime..... I eat my lunch before lunchbreak (whilst I should be working) then I can have a lazy dinner time :D
