So I know in Japan it's Subject object verb... so is this right?

Watashi wa neko o taberu.

I might have spelled taberu wrong I'm not sure.... sorry for the bizzare sentance I haven't learned alot of words yet...

Grammatically right, but oh, so wrong.

Neko o tabete wa dame! (Don't eat cats!)

You could have just dictionary'd yourself a food word.

ichigo = strawberry
niku = meat
pan = bread

:twisted:

what's wrong with eating cats?

how many of us have said the famous lines watakushi wa pen desu. because that's all we knew. If someone is learning by using their vocabulary and grammar principles, it's hardly worthwhile to chastise them for not knowing more..

besides, eating cats is the same as eating meat no? nekoniku.. lol

焼き猫 sounds fresh and tasty. Something to cheer you up when the 盆栽子猫 project fails.

Looks good. Starting simple is best IMHO.

Makes me think of song.....

Dare ga neko o tabeta ka? Watashi, watashi!

Ok, so maybe I made that up..... ;)

Would you normally say "I, I" or "Me, me"?
"Watashi" can be either and, to my way of thinking at least, "me" is a more natural translation in that context.

Speaking of yakineko, i went to China once and ate with some distant relatives. At the end of the dinner session, i asked the waitress what that tasty stew pot in the center of the table was. She told me it was neko... :?

I am actually suprised it wasn't rat or dog, you see those on menu's more commonly than cat.
