Japanese to Englsih Phrases
Yesterday I was writing down some japanese phrases, I knew what they meaned in english but I didn't write them down. So today I wrote the english. Can you see if I am right or wrong and correct my mistakes. I don't know any japanese symbols yet so I write it down as I say it.
watashi wa deividdo desu
I am David
boku wa itachi de wa arimasen ne
I'm not a weasal, am I?
Hai, Tanaka Reina-kun mo sensei desu
Yes, Reina Tanaka is a teacher
lie, Tanaka Reina-kun wa sensei de wa arimasen
No, Reina Tanaka is not a teacher
kore wa biiru desu ka
Is this my beer?
sore wa neko desu ka yo
Is that a cat?!
are wa itachi desu
That is a weasal
kore wa Yoshinawa no biiru desu ne
That's Yoshinawa's beer, isn't it?
anata no pen desu ka
Is this your pen?
anata wa dare pen desu ka
Who's is that pen?

sore wa neko desu ka yo
Is that a cat?!
This does not work. "ka yo" is very assertive and blunt and does not go with "desu".
anata wa dare pen desu ka
Who's is that pen?
ano pen wa dare no [pen] desu ka?

Ahh thankyou. So with the 'Is that a cat?!' How would I actually exlaim (!) whilst asking the question. More of a suprised 'Whoaah is that a cat?!' kind of thing. Instead of just a calm 'is that a cat?'?
EDIT: Ughh I spelt english wrong in the topic header, that's not a good example is it now?

Just vocal intonation. Put surprise in your voice and that does it.
