Practice Conversation
Hi, I'm a beginner at Japanese. I thought it would be nice to start a conversation to pick up vocabulary, grammar, and how people "normally" speak (and not just what a textbook might say). Please give suggestions on my Japanese (not only on grammar and stuff, but talking like how a native Japanese speaker would and not being awkward/too formal/too informal). I looked through the forum and didn't see any similar threads, so I hope this isn't a duplicate.

こんにちは、私はEddyです。僕すきの音楽は初音ミクの歌ったが音楽です。時々にpop音楽も好きます。
im a beginner too and i used to be in the chat room often but they are empty and rarely have any beginner that are same level as me to practice with there. i only learn japanese via the internet, from self interest so i m just learning here and there.

The new chat hasn't been empty since I set it up a week or so ago.

There are 5 people in it right now.
It can be a little buggy (duplicate messages sometimes), but works well overall. Sometimes the chat gets slow... but it hasn't been empty at all that I'm aware of. It's been pretty active most of the time in fact. People come and go as we're all in different time zones (Japan, Europe, from east to west across Canada and the US, Malaysia, etc... so it all depends on when people have a chance to chat and have something to talk about.)
There are people of differing levels, and I'm sure that if you mention that you're a beginner and would like to practice with someone, they would be more than happy to try talking with you at your current level, or giving you pointers etc. (I'm a beginner myself, but I'm generally busy working on the site etc... so I don't have much time to practice 日本語 at the moment.
)There's also the quizbot, but right now the only Japanese stuff in it are the hiragana and katakana lists. I plan on expanding the bot to be able to use questions with multiple answers so that I can add vocabulary lists, JLPT study lists, kanji lists, etc. That's the kind of stuff that's keeping me from my 日本語 studies lately.

I just hope the new easier chat will overall attract more people
I've been distracted by chat more than usual this last week which can be good or bad :p
