Looking for a newspaper.

Post by shikitohno » Mon 01.23.2006 9:01 pm

I remember that I came across a website that was a newspaper for Japanese kids, and thought it would be a great way to pick up Japanese a bit more quick, but I can't find it anymore. Does anyone know what I'm talking about?

No, but thanks. It was a site for younger children, in that it had very little kanji. I like to read, so I figured I'd build up a good vocabulary with it, but I just can't find it.

Well, you have to select one of the stories on the left hand side first. One you start reading the stories, all the kanji beyond (looks like) 3rd grade has the pronunciation written next to it.

That's a really handy page.

Those are pretty cool websites. That'll be great practice for someone like me for awhile, who probably currently has the fluency of a three-year-old, or less! XD

That is an oppertunity to learn more useful kanji :D. I'm not saying that there is useless kanji but I personally think I can read without combos I see in some places that mean "sink or swim". When am I ever going to use that???
