Simple practice... I think.
にわとりちゃん は どうして どうろ を よこぎまして か?
Niwatori-chan wa doushite douro o yokogimashita ka?
にわとりちゃん は どうして どうろ を ふみよぶました か?
Niwatori-chan wa doushite douro o fumiyobumashita ka?
Revised:
鶏ちゃん は どうして どうろ を 渡りました か?
Niwatori-chan wa doushite douro o watarimashita ka?
My questions:
+ Are these obscure verbs that I am using? They seem really long... I got them from Jim Breen's dictionary, since I couldn't figure out a word for 'cross.'
+ Is my use of 'doushite' correct? Or should it be at the beginning in this context?
+ Are my verb conjugations correct?
Please correct me if I'm wrong in any way! And if I'm not... is there a better way to say this? Also also, I don't know many Kanji yet... so hiragana would be best. If it's a very basic [like "私" basic] I can read it or look it up. But I don't want to get really advanced stuff o_o
*one week knowledge, here*

wataru is better than oudansuru, methinks... I have to remember that. 渡る means the exact same thing as ふみよぶる, according to Jim Breen's dictionary...
=_=
