Language Exchange with Skype

Is anyone interested in practicing their Japanese using Skype? I just created a site at Dickinson College in the U.S so that our students can find and speak with people in the language their studying language and also give the other person a chance to practice their English. For example, a student studying Japanese could talk with a student in Japan studying English so that they could both practice. Unfortunately, it seems a lot more Japanese have found the site than Americans, so they're without partners. So if you want to practice go here and create a profile:

Skype is free and is the program people use to talk, it's like MSN Messenger but has better audio so we use it for language exchanges.

Thanks for posting this. I've been looking for someone with whom to practice my Japanese via Skype, but it's slim pickings over at the Skype and Jyve forums--so slim that I've never yet had a chance to try out Skype at all. I'll give this site a try.

Two thumbs up for the Mixxer. I've had two Japanese contact me now. I've conversed with one using Skype and we have a great time. I'll be speaking with the other one soon. I had Skype for a month but couldn't find anyone to practice with; now I have my hands full. Great site!
