That would have been either "Speed Racer" or "Gigantor", not that anyone outside Japan was calling them anime at the time (1960s). I watched Speed Racer on WPIX Channel 11 in New York (then an independent station), I forget what channel carried Gigantor.

yeayea!i remember speed racer..that little guy...haha...but i wasn't able to realise it was an anime in that age. haha.

well, Pokemon. i remember when i was little i was soooooo into it. when i was a munchkin, it was my favorite and i had everything that was Pokemon almost i wouldn't even consider it any normal anime. i'd consider it to be a childhood show! the 1st season was only good though. afterwards, it became really stupid. if i could, i'd buy the 1st season of Pokemon...... it was the best.
