Akira Kurosawa is a great director. Look him up online and watch all of his movies. I saw by chance The Samurai 1 and had to find parts 2 and 3. Made me buy the english translated Musashi and its one of my absolute favorites.

The only movie that ever made me cry like a little baby. An absolute must-see !

Very funny and touching movie about 2 schoolgirls growing up.

Dolls
Awesome movie by Takeshi Kitano based on a Kabuki play.

Shichinin no samurai
Without a doubt one of the best movies ever made in the history of filmmaking. If you haven't seen it, you should be ashamed of yourself.

Akira, Ring I & II, Grudge. well...the grudge wasnt all that great and neither was the ring 1 & 2...it didnt scare me much but it was fun to watch it with my sister and see my sister scared ^^ does Final Fantasy XII: Advent Children count as a japanese movie?
