Is there a way to talk to Mangakas?

Postby Naruto721 » Sat 05.14.2005 6:25 pm

Does anyone know how can I talk to some of the artists? Like Kishimoto Masashi or Nanae Chrono? They're my favorite mangakas! I want to talk to them, is there a way?

(Sorry if this sounds a little weird:p)

I also feel the same! I finished reading Samurai Deeper Kyo and I really want to let Akimine Kamijyo know how influential she is >__<

Maybe the manga translators can help since they have access with the raw manga and can translate contact information from the mangaka...

I think your best bet would be to (learn Japanese,) get a copy of the Japanese manga and then write to the address provided for fanmail. I'm sure I've heard others talk about that...once upon a time.
Maybe I will meet you one day, maybe Wednesday, maybe not...not

I write fanmail to my favourites, not just mangakas (Japanese or otherwise) -- birthday cards, whatever. I have not received any from the Japanese though. But who knows, you just might get lucky, right? :)

PS: When I was younger, I used to write to a lot of my favorite NBA players. I got a poster from Grant Hill. :D

Old thread, but just wanted to say if theres a animecon or other simular things in your area you can also check or ask if they are interesteed in inviting your favorite mangaka there. I meet a few mangakas that way.
ask them to do drawing lesson can be fun.
