Swords and Mahou Sensei Negima/Love Hina

Lordy, this is crazy... K, if you've seen/read Mahou Sensei Negima, a.k.a magister negi magi, there is a character named Setsuna who uses an ENORMOUS sword. It's a traditional japanese sword, and looks to be walking stick styled. The character Aoyama Motoko in Love Hina uses the same kind of sword, and I'm pretty sure they're the same length. I'm having trouble figuring out what you'd call a sword like that. I'm thinking it'd best be labeled as a rattan-sheathed nodachi/odachi, but I'm not sure. See, I'm trying to find a sword almost exactly like it, if not exactly like it. If anyone out there knows what to call it so that I can find it, or where I can find one like it, please let me know. Actually, I think that Setsuna and Motoko use katana.... Here's the Wiki for 野太刀, though. Do you want to buy one? Because swords are really expensive. Longswords are very expensive.
