Where's Saruhashi?
I'm not sure if this question goes here, but it is about Japanese culture.
I have a copy of a print of Hiroshige's painting "Monkey Bridge" (猿橋 、Saruhashi) from the series Famous Places in the Sixty-odd Provinces (大日本六猶予集名所図会 (だいにほんろくゆうよしゅうめいしょずえ))
My questions are, where was Saruhashi and does it exist now? I've tried to find it but to no avail.

Re: Where's Saruhashi?
You couldn't have searched that hard.
First link in google is to the google map pointing to Saruhashi.
The second is the the official webpage of the bridge: http://www.city.otsuki.yamanashi.jp/data/15/05/index.html Seems to be in Otsuki in Yamanashi ken. It also has a wikipedia entry http://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E7%8C%BF%E6%A9%8B
Hope that helps

Darn it! I saw the title of this thread and I thought it was going to be about someone finally locating the absconding former CEO of NOVA Nozomu Saruhashi.

Did you ever see his office when they went searching for him on the news?
It was like a sweet from the playboy mansion.
He apparently spent thousands of dollars a week on hookers.
After seeing my own company president in action when things got tough at my company, I'm just convinced that there are a lot of presidents who are just lying scumbags who would sacrifice everything to save their own skin.

It was like a suite from the playboy mansion.
I never watch TV, so I didn't actually see it myself, but I read about it online, it sounded pretty *gorgeous* as we say around here. I hope someday they do find that.... guy. I'd like to give him a swift kick in the pants or two.

I'm glad I never worked for that... guy! I had the chance to, in fact I had a couple of job interviews with Nova, one in Osaka and one in Okazaki, but I didn't feel comfortable at either. I felt it was very much a mega business that didn't care about their teachers or students.
