私(わたし)のこと好(す)きですか?
if you want to be less formal :) you can drop ですか and just raise the intonation on き

In another forum I live on, by now people would have been suggesting things like "atashi yaritai no?" or some such naughty phrase.... ;)

Wow, I want to at least see girls that say such things (knowingly). Wouldn't want to やる them though.

じゃ is a conversational contraction of では、so you wouldn't say "〜ではじゃ," you would say either "〜では" or "〜じゃ." anyway, as soon as you open your mouth, they'll know japanese isn't your mother tongue, but you could say "あたしは日本人(にほんじん)じゃないんです." "〜ではありません" isn't very typical of the spoken language.

「あたし やりたい の?」 must be " Do I want to do (something)? "
Something wrong. この文章の主語は何ですか?

「あたし やりたい の?」= "Do you wanna do me?"

ご存知の通り、このスレッドでの現在の質問は下記のものです。

Of course. That's the whole point. A girl doesn't know how to speak Japanese, and asks how to say "do you like me?" -- so people play a joke on her and say "In Japanese, 'do you like me' is 'atashi wo yaritai no?'", or someone says he's going to get to meet his favorite sumotori, and wants to know how to say "I'm your biggest fan" is told to say "Kisama wa okama mitai."

Typically it happens with tattoo kanji requests. Someone asks for the kanji for "bravery" and he gets something suggested like 玉なし -- someone want courage and they get 馬鹿 as a recommendation. A girl wants "beauty" or something and gets やりまん back as a suggestion.

Mr. Bryant.
I noticed that what kind of "joke" you like.
"sengokudaimyo.com " must be great site.
Good luck, Japanese historian.

Well Tony did say that OTHER people on another forum would be making that joke. He didn't make the joke himself. Don't kill the messenger.

He was just pointing out some of the dangers of asking other people for advice. He was probably talking about sci.lang.japan. Even though there are many learned people on that forum, a lot of pranksters come in and cause trouble sometimes.

No offense, but there are online dictionaries and whatnot that you could use to look up the answers to most of your questions. I recommend Jim Breen's dictionary at http://www.csse.monash.edu.au/~jwb/wwwjdic.html
