Could someone please help me by teaching me some tax-related nihongo.
I know the word for tax office is zeimu-sho
How about a W-2 form?
How about when your company files your taxes for you and you get m\your money back automatically. You must get some kind of evidence which shows you filed. What is the name of that form which serves as evidence?

RE: Japanese Tax Nihongo??
Do you mean what is the equivalent of those forms for if you are living in Japan? Or do you want to explain it to a Japanese person living in the US?
W-2 is the name of an IRS form, no other country has a "W-2"

Could you tell us English term of it so that we can answer easier?
certificate of income and withholding tax // certificate of tax deducted // information at source
It is called 源泉徴収票=げんせんちょうしゅうひょう.
FYI
給与所得(きゅうよ しょとく ) の 源泉徴収票(げんせんちょうしゅうひょう)
certification of income and local tax withheld from regular pay

RE: Japanese Tax Nihongo??
Yes, the basic equivalent to the American W-2 form is the 源泉徴収票(げんせんちょうしゅうひょう) , but that doesn't mean you can use it in exactly the same way when filing US taxes.
Rhumba9, are you asking about filing in the US or Japan?

RE: Japanese Tax Nihongo??
Yes I am wanting to know words which will help in filing Japanese taxes.
I only use the word W-2 for clarity. I am quite aware that other countries do not use the same word. But, in all my life I have never heard that slip of paper called anything else. And if I called it a Federal Tax Withholding document, it might not be clear what I am talking about.
Thank you.

Well, there is no english term really. Companies in the US do not usually file our taxes for us as is someimes the case for foreigners in Japan. And for evidence, we just take a copy of the form that we filed.
But, I know that when I was in Japan, one of the Japanese staff walked up to me and said only "[my name]...tax" then I just signed something and the refund was automatically added to my check. But I never did get any kind of proof that I had filed. I need that to show to the US government. And also to show to immigration in Japan.

RE: Japanese Tax Nihongo??
I see.
so now you need 源泉徴収票の再発行(さいはっこう), right?.
The company will reissue 源泉徴収票 in compliance with ex-employees'request.
In case of the company doesn't reissue it-rare case , you will be able to get it from municipality where you lived in Japan.
Oyaji-san.
退職時に源泉徴収票を出さないケースなんてあるのでしょうか。外資系の企業で本社が国外の場合は、事情が違うのかも知れませんが、それについては私は分かりません。
