That was extremely funny Paul. Most of it went over my head, but what I did catch was pretty funny. I have no idea how that woman kept a straight face.
なるほど。

RE: ヲタク [You tube video]
Afternoon folks. I saw this thread a few days ago and thought this video presented a good opportunity to practice both my reading and listening skills. At one point while they're watching the cosplay video (which has its own clip here), Wada says 「使徒襲来が何ですか」, and then Shoko responds 「使徒がxxxです」. The word xxx sounds kind of like したん but I can't tell for sure, and it and all the variations of it I've tried don't make much sense. Can anyone tell me what she said there?

Thanks.
WWWJDIC says this for きたん:
奇譚 【きたん】 (n) mysterious story
忌憚 【きたん】 (n,vs) reserve; modesty
The first one is the only one that seems to be relevant in this case. Would this mean that 「きたんです」 is similar to "It's a long story"?

It's translated as "angel" in context.

C O N T E X T what does it spell? CONTEXT!
In this case the context is that of Neon Genesis Evangelion (and they're called 'Angels' in the official translated words).
