For example a common theme is that you can telepathically call UFOs to you (sometimes with the aid of suspicious ceremonies involving groups of people).
Oh, I see: A parody of this was shown in the movie "Sakigake!! Cromartie Koukou" (not the anime). Then again, the whole movie is strange, as japanese comedy is, to my taste. Very nice though-
