I was really only thinking of going to Japan for one year just to have that experience before I decided what I want to do with the rest of my life. I'll definitely look into the working holiday visa. Thanks.

The thing is, though, that if during that one year you decide that living here is what you want to do, you're either going to have to get married and go on a spouse visa or vacate the premises for a few years while you go back and get a degree.

My advice, whether you come here or not, get a degree.

I was thinking that's most likely what I would do. Even though getting married could happen, I won't count on it. The other thing i'm going to look into is to see if there are any college/universities that will send me over to Japan for a certain amount of time as part of the course.

I do plan on getting a degree or some sort of education... the question is whether I get it before experiencing Japan, or after.

I still find the sheer number of people who want to work for a stint in Japan as an English teacher alarming. I'm starting to dread the competition I'll have to face when I graduate next year and try to get my foot in the door too.... I only have six months between graduation and when my student loans will start to come back to haunt me. So, between now and then, I'll do my best to discourage as many people as possible in their Japanese studies :D

My 45 minutes of hard work at 4am went totally unnoticed.

How sad.

Excellent animation. I especially liked the part where Tony's head explodes. It was very realistic and well done. I think you should seriously consider going to a movie school in Tokyo.

Excellent work, keatonatron, just what I expected from a normal girl who likes to dress nice and sexy.

Welcome to my world.

Maybe you should stop delivering stuff and start making animations.

With deliveries, people only take note if it doesn't arrive.

is that something specific with Japan? I know when our shipments are on time, we get bonuses, so people take note of it either way..

Every time you walk into the grocery store, do you think "Whew, the milk, eggs, and orange juice made it in last night! I should find out who the delivery driver is and thank him for a job well done!"?

On the other hand, if you were to walk in to find the store empty with a big sign that read "Sorry, no groceries today," wouldn't you find yourself wondering just what happened along the line from point A to point B?
