There's... so much more information here than what you think you're asking! Your thread title asks one thing, and the body of your post asks for two more things, and all three could spur an essay independently of the other!

Plus, I suspect an ulterior motive of "I planned to go teach English in Japan, and now I'm worried I won't be able to."

I'll try to tackle the issues briefly, but... maybe others will come along and fill in details later.

Is english important? -- To who? Some Japanese, unless they specifically -need- english for their careers, do not think it is important to learn English. It is required in their schools, and one of my penpals says he thinks government requirement of English in school is unnecessary.

Are english teachers still in demand? -- I'm not sure how to answer this... are you asking "Are english teachers needed so badly that they'll take ANYONE???" Like any trade, there is always a market for new people into the field. Japan has English teachers, and they have the JET Programme set up to bring native english speakers to the classroom on a limited basis.

Is an english teacher a high paid job in Japan? -- You won't get rich.

If you read through this thread there's some eyeopening information about teaching English in Japan. The thread is six pages long & some other topics are covered in it, but just keep reading. I found it to be absolutely fascinating and, as I said, an eyeopener.

That's kind of his point. He wants us to know who it is. BTW, did you see his email address? He's got a real dislike for Tony.

At least it's been a few days. Maybe this means he can only do this using someone else's computer as his IP is persistent and, therefore, blocked. He's bound to get bored with it sooner or later. I checked out that video he linked last time. If he really did make that video, then in YouTube he lists his age as 19. How much amusement can doing this possibly hold for a 19 year old?

There are two admins on right now, one of them will ban him again.

EDIT: See, Richvh already did it while I was typing this.

The sad thing is, I'm not the only one on his case.

Ah, well.

Well, his next alias was taking Chris to task, so you're not his only target.

Hrm, I wish the posts weren't deleted for entertainment's sake, but we do have kids on here, so I'll just sigh wistfully.

Did NOVA close?

Debate all you like about the actual services provided, but you can easily find a job with the title of teacher in Japan.
You're probably not as smart as you think.

if you ban the IP shouldn't that stop it? If it is a "public" IP, let the IP admin know and they can find out who it using at those times and you can get them banned for any number of reasons at the source.
