Knee-length Yukata

Postby Hatori » Tue 07.31.2007 8:17 pm

Hello. I was wondering, if there is any signifigant difference or meaning behind a yukata that goes down to about your knees. For Christmas a few years ago somebody bought me a yukata that goes down to my knees and I've seen in one manga this kid wearing one to his knees...
I know that a normal kimono or yukata you'd see generally is a lot longer, but I was just wondering about the knee length ones... :D Thanks for reading!

I think it might be "長法被(ながはっぴ/naga happi)".

How long are your knees?
Never underestimate my capacity for pettiness.

Yeah, it looks like something like that.

As for Mike, I'm 5 foot 10 inches.... So I'm pretty tall and when I got this knee-length yukata it went down to my knees. It may be shorter on me now, but I have to take it out soon anyways for this thing I'm doing.
