Where to go on exchange

hey all.
next year im plaaning on going to japan for 10 months on a exchange program. im really excited about it. however, i have to decide on which city i want to go to and i hav no clue. any ideas on a good place to go to live for a year?

It would help us help you if you told us a bit about yourself. For example, there is no need recommending Tokyo if you loath urban areas and no need recommending some remote rural area if the opposite is the case.

And there's no need to recommend a lot of places if you are limited to a few choices. (I'm pretty sure there aren't any exchange programs that let you go anywhere)

I recommend you go exactly where other people tell you to; your intuition and your decision making skills are completely worthless on their own. If what you want doesn't match with what other people have wanted, chosen, and found to be good then you are wrong.

yea bonobono im in high school. im going in my gap year.
ive jus had the interview with the company im goin with and turns out i cant choose where i want to go. i only had the choice between city n country.
they did tell me i could choose tho beforehand. o well.
newayz i went with city coz i like the country but i couldnt live in it for 10 months!

is anyone planning on going on an exchange next year too?
