It's all human nature. i'm willing to put money on this; if someone grew up and lived without even KNOWING what porn is, that person(be it boy or girl), WILL have fantasies.

don't agree? prove me wrong. :D

Exactly.

(sigh) it is an ever present fact that my writing style never seems to get my point across even when, to me, it seems to jump out and hit people on the head. That's why I gave up on my dream of becoming a writer.

Molestation and rape has been around for as long as we have written history. There are even accounts of it in the Bible. What porn did they watch? You can't blame the medium just because it's convenient.

The focus of my OP was "I.e, people that cant differentiate between reality and fantasy." Arguing whether or not this man watched Chikan porn is an irrelevant deviation because Porn is still fantasy and it was really just provided as an example of fantasy. It should be obvious in my OP that I'm not really blaming Porn for the problem; I'm blaming people's inability to diffrentiate between fantasy and reality.

In this case it was your title, I think, that made people construe your meaning in a certain way. When I clicked on your title, I was already in the mindset of "this is going to be a rant against pornography" and so I read your post to support that.

Hmm.
pornography (noun) - books, pictures, films, etc designed to be sexually arousing, often offensive owing to their explicit nature).

You know I don't really consider ads with toddlers running around in them, or something like Venus de Milo, pornographic - but someone else might. I think something like that was mentioned earlier. With that in mind, I'd say that not every guy watches porn or 'uses' porn, which again are two things very different to being exposed to porn - and on that point, your mileage my vary depending on things like whether you consider a girl wearing a short skirt or a bikini or whatever to be pornagraphic or not. I don't. There's a line to be drawn between sexually suggestive and pornographic after all.

Anyway, with or without porn, humans are sexual creatures and have impulses. It's not as much a question of fantasy vs reality, I think, as much as one of being in control of your impulses - men and women have different sexual impulses I think, but up to a point I'd say girls are more in control in general. For example, Guy A and Guy B might check out a woman's breasts. Guy A just looks at them a few times, Guy B goes and gropes them. I don't think it's as much to do with distinguishing fantasy from reality, because you can't make a conscious decision to put your hands on another person and believe it isn't real without something unordinary happening in your mind. These people are just taking a shot and being arrogant enough to think you will get away with it - unfortunately I think a lot of people do.

Actually, you know what makes me respect women? Them not pushing their views on me.

Really? I respect a woman that speaks her mind with me and pushes if she wants something. Also, I know I can find even ground with her then. It's all about being close, isn't it?

If you can convince my girlfriend to do some of those "gross things".

Hey that's your responsibility ;)

Still, I don't associate porn with filling gaps in a relationship - I think that is quite an unhealthy/"bad" attitude, and a road you shouldn't go down. If your partner is not happy with you watching porn for any reason (maybe it makes her feel inadequate or that she's not enough for you) then it's something to be talked about and reasoned over. And if I want my girlfriend to do freaky stuff with me I make damn sure I can get her in the mood to do it; I certainly don't give up and go download porn instead.

I thought the title was a South Park reference.

I got the South Park reference. But...

Being a pop culture reference doesn't change the fact that a title is the first thing people see, and sets the tone for what they read thereafter. Media specialists call this effect "spin". It slants the viewer/reader immediately toward a certain way of thinking. It's really a rather powerful force.....

Simple. Just need to find one case where the person in question didn't have fantasies. :)
