Re: For learning basic Japanese
There is a pretty decent interval between each post, so I've no problem with it myself.

How long does it take to be called as a "decent interval", would you think?
Four months is good enough?
Do you think everyone can advertise his own website after a certain interval, regardless of rule No.2?
2: Do not post links to illigal sites, or sites with mature material. Do not advertise your own sites in the forum or in the shoutbox UNLESS it is relevant to the topic. You may write your website adress in your profile and signature.

Re: For learning basic Japanese
valid point.
Personally, I'm cool with someone comming here and trying to get visibility for their site, especially if it is a good site and they do it rarely enough that it's difficult to consider it spam.

rule number 2 is pretty specific, No Advertising.. I would say put your website in your signature and don't advertise. there is a reason for rule number 2, even if you think it doesn't apply to you..
I don't like to see exceptions made for one person or 100 people. If the rule is the way it is, follow it. If you don't want to follow the rule, then you are free to go elsewhere. That's how I see it..

The reason behind rule #2 is to not clog the forums up with advertisements. I certainly don't mind other sites being advertised but what's important is as Coco-san pasted, "(don't advertise) UNLESS it is relevant to the topic."
