My study method, advice, critique
My man textbook is An: Introduction to Modern Japanese by Bowring and Laurie, the only supplement I use with it right now is The Leaner's Kanji Dictionary to look up stroke orders.
My Method for Every Chapter
1. Read Vocab List for Chapter
2. Input vocab list in Anki
3. Run through cards to make sure I remember them
4. read chapter conversation/passage
5. Input conversation/passage into Anki sentence by sentence
6.Read Grammar Notes
7 Use Kanji dictionary to make worksheets for writing practice
8.Do exercises
9 Wash,rinse, and repeat
I do this over the course 5-7days, I also review whatever Anki tells me to everyday. My primary goal with Japanese right now is learning how to read and write, although I've been thinking about getting some audio material for my ipod to listen to in the mornings on my way to school. I'm about to start chapter 4 and just want some advice on my study plan. What I'm doing right, Things I could do better, Things I'm doing wrong? Thanks in advance

Seems like a good method. What about listening comprehension practice?
edit: sry didnt pay enough attention at the end of your post
. I would recommend to focus a little more on audio that you intend to, though.

It seems that you study on your own (I do that as well). I'd say it's important that you at least speak out the vocab alound once. You're brain also remembers how you *say* words, not only how they sound.

Sounds like a good plan. I hope you can keep at it.

seems like a good plan to me. Similar to my method. But I read the grammar notes before reading the chapter passage conversation, so I can understand most of what im reading before I read the translation.
