Have a textbook or grammar book that you find particularly helpful? What about a learning tip to share with others?

ok, so i have a burning desire to learn japanese. what i would like to know is what you all think are the best books for me to get for learning and studying. i would like maybe a series of books that would take me from the basics all the way to mastering the language. also with your suggestions it would be helpful if you posted links to where i can purchase these books or other learning materials, preferably a place that accepts paypal.

thank you for taking time to read this and if you try to help me then thank you double.

http://www.thejapanshop.com

I recommend Genki. It's the book I used in school. If anything gets too confusing there, I recommend http://www.guidetojapanese.com. It's a very straightforward, no-bull approach to grammar. There are no exercises, so I recommend the site as a suppliment to the book. Both Genki books will take you through all the basic grammar. For more intense study, I recommend "A Dictionary of Basic Japanese Grammar" and "A Dictionary of Intermediate Japanese Grammar".
Ist das einen Kanji, dass ich gefunden habe??
