Pimsleur?

I picked up some cds from Pimsleur a bit ago, and so far, that's how I've been learning japanese so far... since it's just audio I know I'll need something else to teach me how to read.

What does other people think of this program, and if you're familiar with it, do you have any suggestions? Are there other programs you prefer?
