You didn't answer the requests for you to just start chatting with us in romaji.

There are always little reminders that I need to be on my best behavior when talking it strangers.

There are indeed times when keigo comes in handy. :)

Quick! Edit that before Tony sees it. ;-)

Oh sure, and you just dime him out. I know, off topic, but gotta have some fun.
If you are in a foreign land where they don't understand your native tongue, just speak louder and slower...in the language that they don't know.

I can not believe everyone is still posting here, lol. :( wow, this compulsive liar, who probably thought he would be cool if he made everyone think he learned the language that fast and make some friends that way too. Has not posted anything since someone called him on it to translate some items on the same day he made this post.
I vote for this thread to be stopped. ;)

AHHH, I take back what I said, I just notice that he has two accounts I did not read the post on the second page saying he had two accounts, lol (oh I dont take back the part about being a Liar ect...)
Someone let me know when he goes into chat and proves it. Then Ill print this thread and it my own words.

I think Shinzou's quote sums it up.

You must have an innate ability to learn languages? Good for you! B) I wish I could learn just five words in a day, it takes me several times of memorization to learn just one word! Now that you know some words you can learn the sentence structure, and then hiragana, katagana and kanji! :D

HERE IS A QUICK way to learn 5 words and the corresponding kanji a day.. use each word as many times as you can in sentences throughout the day..

use it is funny sentences if you like and try to include it in casual concersation. where applicable, try it with different conjegation, such as verbs and adjectives. have fun .. ask a person you know when you would use the onyomi or kunyomi as well when you use the words.. if you do this every do or every other day, you will remember the words for a long time.

ok little man.. if you are going to tell us one thing, make sure you remember what you actually told us the first time..

you did say at least all of the dictionary and you did say it took you 3months to be 70% fluent.. as we can see by the following quotes.. now, thanks for playing, but you are exposed..

wait a minute i don't think u guys understood this topic..lol
This "Master japanese tip" is directed towards people who
almost has mastered the japanese language, not for begginers nor
intermediate, that's why i called it "Master japanese tip".
sorry bout the confusion i'm not that good in english as well.
oh and i didnt learn japanese in three months.. that's friggen impossible.
I said that I memorized "SOME" words in the dictionary
and it took me three months.I it took me about 2 years to get to where i am
now.

SunaipaaKisei wrote:Ok this was the fastest way i learned how to speak
Nihongo(Japanese).
I bought a Japanese-English dictionary and studied and
memorized atleast all the words in it, so i'd be able to
atleast recognize some words.
Then i watched a bunch of japanese movies,
animes,t.v shows, etc, this enabled me to understand
where to place verbs, topics, topic markers, words, w.e..
into a sentence..
since i already know some words..i'd was able to make a sentence
and understand em!!
This took me about three months but im
70% able to speak and understand japanese fluently

I was sitting outside drinking coffee with a friend yesterday, when an older Japanese man in a suit comes up to us, puts his hand on our shoulders, and just starts asking us questions like "where are you from?" and "how old are you?" I was about to retort with something along the lines of "why the hell are you asking us all this?" when I noticed that beneath his shirt, the entire left side of his chest was covered in tattoos.

Switched to keigo, bowed a number of times and thanked him for taking the time out of his busy day to come and talk with us.

There are always little reminders that I need to be on my best behavior when talking to strangers. ;)

From what movies and stuff I've seen/heard, that sounds like a member of the yakuza..

Scary.

Red doesn't have forum admin privileges. Neither do I, for this subforum: only Tony, Clay, Zen and Daisuke can lock this thread.
