I am quite a new learner and was just wondering if anyone can recommend how i should go about things. I understand Hiragana and to a lesser extent Katakana as well as about 25-30 kanji. Should i learn all (or at least a fair bit) of the kanji first and thus pick up a fair bit of vocabulary in the process and then go onto grammer etc? Or is this a terrible way to go about things? I did Latin based languages at school which i did not like and therefore im not good at tackling languagesas i avoided those lessons. Thanks

You are best off getting a foundation in grammar first. Learning vocabulary at the same time isn't bad either but the basic grammar is essential.

Okay. Thankyou, i shall lay off the kanji for the time being and give the basic grammar a go
