OOO, This is Big.

Have a textbook or grammar book that you find particularly helpful? What about a learning tip to share with others?

OOO, This is Big.

I ran across this while working on my textbook project.

It's a searchable database of these books

Nakama 1
Japanese for Busy People
Japanese the Spoken Language 1
Genki 1
Learn Japanese: New College Text
Interactive Japanese 1&2 (Summerell, Riley, & Yang)

It's not a replacement for a having a textbook, You have to know what you're searching for to find anything useful, but it's a great resource.

That's a great idea--I want something like that for my textbooks! I always want to compare them, but I have to do it that hard way.

Besides just comparing multiple books' explanations of a grammatical point, you could use that to find out what's in a book you don't have yet (and see if it looks more comprehensive than the one you have). Or if you are tutoring someone using a book you haven't seen before, you can find out what Japanese they should know.
