Pronunciation assistance, please~!

Post by Tsuchinoko » Tue 11.14.2006 9:04 am

I don't know if I should be putting emphasis on some words, or saying it fluently. I'll create random combinations of hiragana, to give you all an example. (I shall not what I type means... So if I accidentally cuss or something, please forgive me. lol)

EX; okanai

Would I say that as "Oh-kah-nye" or "Oh-kah-na-ee"

Another two examples,

Oshirei & Onirai

Would the first one be pronounced like this? "Oh-she-ray" or "Oh-she-rah-ee" and ditto on the second example, but "ray" or "rah-ee"

Thank in advance!

The only way to get the pronunciations down for sure is to repeat after native speaker models (either real life or tape).
