particularly easy to read manga
I'm pretty happy to find azuma kiyohiko's Yotsuba&! Books to be pretty easy reading. Would anyone care to recommend other material, with somewhat interesting material, that is at least as easy to read for the beginner, so that I can add it to my Sasuga order and save shipping?
I know you believe you understand what you thought I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

Check this site for Japanese Anime Discount DVDs:
I bought a few anime DVDs from them to help my son (happa) improve his Japanese.

You can't go wrong with Hasegawa Machiko's classic "Sazae-san" or Ueda Masashi's "Kobo-chan".

Wow those are like, bilingual. That's almost like cheating. I suppose I'll put them in my cart. Thanks.

According to the item description at sausuga, the books Mike Cash recommended have both english and japanese text.

Another easy manga to read is Crayon Shin-chan. Not to mention it's hilariously funny.

i found this link to some of the Hasegawa Machiko's classic "Sazae-san" manga. They look to be really nice manga to study from. They are also compared to the "Blondie" comics in their appeal to japanese..

I had no idea. I'm only familiar with them in their original Japanese-form.BetterSense wrote:

Anyway, I'm sure you'll find them useful and interesting.
